So, after all that campaigning, Mo White gets elected. You know, after we spend the whole episode watching him lust after pre-teens. And again, I struggle with wondering what is the worst thing Frank has ever done. It should totally be this, right? But it's 100% not. On the plus side, Fiona manages to have a change of heart right before she goes in to vote, and ends up voting for Wyman (not that it mattered). But I ask you guys, have you ever not known who you were voting for when you showed up to the booth? That seems so foreign to me. I always know well in advance. Is this TV bullshit, or a thing that actually happens?
Carl gets challenged to a duel by the kid whose West Point recommendation he 'stole'. But, as it turns out, the kid just wants to be a poet and ends up shooting himself in the leg to make sure he doesn't actually end up in the military. But, he doesn't shoot himself in the right spot to avoid duty, so he begs Carl to shoot him. It takes a bit, but eventually he does. And it seems like he kind of likes it. Which is a relief for him.
Debbie and Alex move in together and then she moves out and then break up within, like, half a day. After Debbie talks about how gay sex is 'not that bad' and talks endlessly about how great the dick she's had in her life was, Alex gets upset (I wonder why π) and ends it. When she moves home, the family is totally confused because they have no idea that she moved out, or even who Alex was. (Like I said, half a day).
Xan's mom showed up at the show and demands that Lip return her daughter. He refuses, claiming that she only wants Xan for the benefits. He asks Xan if she wants to stay with him and she says yes, if her mom never comes back. Lip sells a motorcycle and uses the proceeds to try to buy Xan. He tells her mom he'll give her 10 grand if she signs away her rights to Xan and names him legal guardian. But, Xan shows up during this and thinks her mom is here to come back for here. After watching how happy Xan is during their reunion, Lip ends up just giving them the money and leaving.
After putting in a ton of effort, the Alibi is no longer on the 'Rapiest Bar' list. Kevin is thrilled. Especially, when the reporter ends up naming them a safe place for women, which ends up bringing in a bunch of women clientele. This also gets the second rapiest bar owner to show up asking for help to turn his bar around.
And poor Ian doesn't know what to do. His supporters want him to go to trial for the publicity, but if he's found guilty he could do 10-15. He also claims that Shim is occasionally talking to him again, but they're not really helping him with his problem.
Oh, and Liam is moving up several grades. Poor Liam. With all the other shit going on on this show, his storylines are always taking a backseat.
