Ugh. We just knew this was gonna be a totally disaster.
So, Kris and Matt are going back and forth on whether they should enter this unsanctioned race or not. They can't decide, but decide to meet with Sheik and see what he has to say. It turns out, that the purse has been upped to two million dollars. However, they all thought they'd be racing on the track that he just bought, but he's arranged some crazy, guerrilla style race through the wildness. Still, it's two million dollars.
Afterwards, Matt is much more skeptical, but Kris is sure it's a good idea. She knows that Wildfire can beat Avatar. But Matt is getting more and more nervous. He goes to scout the course and finds it to be highly dangerous (although, when we actually see the race it doesn't look nearly that bad) and tells Kris, they are 100% out.
Meanwhile, Dani also decides that Avatar is out. The farm has too much to lose if they get caught. Junior offers to make the call to Sheik so that Dani can still try to keep a business relationship with him.
But both Junior and Kris go against the wishes of their respective farms and decide to race. And both are discovered by finding an empty stall where a horse should be. Both of them try to stop the race, but it's too late.
After a not that scary terrain of track, Wildfire comes out victorious and Kris is handed a suitcase full of money. She brings it back to Raintree and tries to give it to Jean, but Jean refuses to take it and chastises Kris for thinking that Jean would ever be able to take that money.
Shortly thereafter, cops show up at Raintree and tell them they know about the illegal race and they are being stripped of their racing license and have to pay $100,000 fine. Kris says she was totally at blame and that the Ritters had no idea she did that. And if she admits guilt, will that get the Ritters off the hook? They tell her yes, but that means she's going to lose her jockey license in all 50 states. They agree and drop the charges against the Ritters. Jean tells Kris that she loves her for doing that, but she also has to leave Raintree.
Later, Matt goes looking for Jean and finds her in the empty barn. She sold all the horses. She's says they know have enough to keep the farm, but that's it. Matt is shocked and upset. I mean I agree with him. How could she just sell all the horses in like half a day? What are you doing Jean? Matt tells her that he's going to get the horses, Wildfire (Pablo took him to Davis Farms), and Kris back.
Turns out, it was Dani who called the cops. But, in order for Raintree to keep it's racing license, Dani has to give up hers. She's pissed. because, yet again, she puts in all the effort and Junior get to reap all the rewards. So Dani has to give controlling interest in the farm to Junior.
Finally, we see Kris with a bag walking along the road. A car pulls up behind her, and she asks what they are doing there. And that's all we get.
All I can think is it's not Matt. Because Matt has a large truck and this is a small car. Also, if it was Matt, she probably wouldn't ask what he was doing there.
