Sons of Anarchy 2X3: Fix

OMG. I feel terribly for Gemma right now. She is suffering and due to club business, feels like she can't confide in Clay, which is leading them to have horrible fights. Several of them in public, in front of the club.

After Clay realizes how badly Bobby is struggling financially, he sends him over to be the bookkeeper for Luann. And she loses her damn mind. Half the club (plus Gemma) heads over to try to talk her down. While Jax is there though, it's revealed that one of the actresses has taken a liking to him and Luann asks him to keep her happy.

Bobby later finds out that Luann has been skimming off the top for years (maybe that's why she was so upset when Bobby showed up), and Bobby tells her it has to go before the club, as she's been robbing them for years. She offers herself up to him as long as he doesn't tell the club. We don't get an actual scene from that, but later when Bobby talks to Clay, he doesn't mention it.

This actress that Jax is protecting is really getting to Tara. And I can see why. She's basically throwing herself at Jax and telling Tara that she's trash. Gemma tells Tara that she's got to defend her territory, but Tara tells her she's not 18 anymore, and isn't going to throw down with a bitch. However, that doesn't stop her from having sex with Jax in the bathroom when said actress is afoot and eventually walks in. Territory staked.

But, the real meat of this episode comes from us trying to decide whether Hale is in the pocket of the Aryans or not. They feed him info about some meth cooking that's going on by the Nords, and after he checks it out, and realizes it's for real, he tells Jax it's not happening. Of course, SOA set him up. At first they were sure he couldn't be bought, but Clay muses that maybe they just didn't bride him with the right stuff. And the right stuff, is getting SAMCRO out of Charming. Which, the Aryans have a plan to help him with. And he goes for it.

Once they realize that Hale is bought, they destroy the drug manufacturing themselves, as they really don't want drugs in Charming. However, Opie, as the fire man, cut this so very close. He decided not to use a trigger and almost got himself blown up. Jax calls him on it, but he promises he doesn't have a death with. I hope that's true. I like Opie!

Clay's reason for not killing Opie or Donna (by mistake) was that he loved them. He could never do anything like that. 😱 Except he did. Considering he did plan to kill Opie you'd have to figure he's lying about everything. Jax and Piney's reactions to Opie being set-up by Stahl were very different from Clay's. If he loved Opie like they did he would have believed him or at least not killed him.

Heather

I know she didn't go in there for that intended purpose, but she sure as hell took advantage for the situation when it presented itself. Also, I'm super conflicted about Gemma. She's sort of the best character, but also, I kind of hate half the shit she does. 🤣

I'm so glad that I'm not out in left field thinking that Jax is obviously correct here. But, I didn't really think about the fact that Clay is holding back for Opie's sake. It's 100% obvious that Jax loves Opie. Clay, I wasn't really sure. I didn't know if he was saying that cover his own ass, or he meant it. Curious to see how Jax and Piney teaming up against Clay might go.

It's obvious Gemma's not okay with Clay having sex with other women, no matter what "deal" they have. Basically, he's going to do it despite how she feels about it, so for her to "accept" it she just doesn't want to know about it. Sounds like this arrangement only benefits Clay of course. Tara saying she trusts Jax is the mature/right answer. If she doesn't want him to cheat or have sex with other women then it's up to him and it's him she needs to confront about this, not the women. Gemma gives terrible advice based on her terrible relationship.

Sabrina

Yeah, I hate it when Gemma gives Tara relationship advice when hers is problematic. 🙄

Heather

Also, I hate how Clay is being with Jax. He shows zero understanding of where Jax is coming from. Clay tried to have his best friend killed, after promising Jax that everything was good w Opie and the club, and killed his best friend's wife by mistake. When confronted Clay lied to Jax's face and refused to own up to it. If he would have just told him the truth Jax would have been somewhat understanding, but Clay is all about self-preservation. He cares more about himself than Gemma, Jax or the club. I love how Clay tried to insinuate that Jax was the selfish one. To me there are no sides. Jax is right. The only reason Clay has a free pass from Jax right now is because of Opie. It's very obv Opie needs the club. He's not doing well. Jax would love to hold Clay accountable and tell the club what happened, but it's not about him. Jax unable to hide how he really feels about Clay despite how it's effecting the club, is enjoyable to watch. Why should he just get away with what he did.

Heather

Gemma's loyalty to the club and the lifestyle is amazing to me considering she has no say in it. She's really "just an old lady." It's not like she's at the table making any decisions or they ask for her input. She thinks she's more important than she is. What happened to her was because of Clay and the club. That's the lifestyle. Open your eyes. I do not like Clay and Gemma's dynamic. It's obv she's going through something, and Clay treats her like shit. He's throwing bricks through her car window, beating on her hood, placing his hands on her, getting blow jobs. No, thx. Idc if he doesn't know what exactly is going on with her, he's making it all about him. Like he always does.

Heather

Tara didn't go into the bathroom with the intention to have sex with Jax (she was trying to calm down), nor did she expect Ima to walk in. But she did, so she took advantage of the situation, by making eye contact, to let the bitch know. This wasn't a set-up to prove something to Ima, so I'm not sure how she was being immature, especially since she walked away so she wouldn't be. I like Tara and while Gemma is entertaining she is so aggravating to me at times. I like how she picks and chooses when to follow Gemma's "advice" on what makes sense to her. Full disclosure great, act like an 18 yr old, not so much.
