Outlander 7X2: The Happiest Place on Earth

So, we did finally get the truth of what. happened to Malva. And it's awful. Turns out Christe really did do it, but not that Christie. It was Allan, not Tom. And Tom really did just admit it because he loved Claire and wanted to get her out of jail. So, Allan killed her because he was in love with her and she was carrying his child. He wanted them to be together, but she didn't love him. And it drove him mad that she slept with other people. It's totally fucked up, but kind of on brand for him. Also, we find out that Malva didn't want any part in that stunt against Jamie because she loved Claire so much, she didn't want to hurt her. However, Malva was still weird. That doesn't mean she should have been killed, but I still have a lot of questions about her that I don't think will ever get answered.

Brianna also gives birth, and while everything seems okay at first, Claire realizes fairly quickly that something is wrong with the baby. And it's not something that she can fix here. Which means, if they want to baby to live, Brianna, Roger, and the kids have to go back through the stones to have modern surgery. Ugh. That goodbye pretty much killed me. And then watching Claire's grief about it was not fun either. But, I guess, on the plus side, it does look like they made it back safely.

Afterwards, things start to get better and happy again. And Claire is happy and content. Lizzie has her baby, and Jamie is so pleased he lets them remain in that throuple. But you know because things are going so well, that they can only go down from here.

When Claire comes back from picking herbs, she can tells something isn't right, but she isn't sure what. Then we see Wedigo who has struck a match to alert Claire to his presence. He asks for help getting back through the stones, and Claire tell him what he knows. But he also says he needs stones. This is when we realize that a bunch of this man are holding Jamie. They ransack the house and completely destroy the surgery. The break a bottle of ether in the process. Then they decide it's too dark to see and light another match, and thanks to the ether, the house explodes.

I mean, we know that Claire and Jamie are gonna make it. But I'm not sure how. Maybe because they were standing outside the surgery, and not directly on top of the ether? But that explosion looked pretty big.
