So, in the aftermath of finding Malva and the baby dead, the people of the Ridge are suspicious of Claire. She had both motive and opportunity to kill her. Lots of the people are questioning Jamie about why they should trust him in the wake of what he and his wife did (adultery and murder, respectively). Even worse, for most of this episode, Claire doesn't actually know if she did it or not. She doesn't think she did, but she also couldn't rule it out. Thankfully, towards the end, Lizzie says something that makes it clear that Claire didn't do it.
Claire, unfortunately, is still being haunted by visions of Lionel. The only way she can escape them is with the ether. However, it's not like when she first started using it. Before, it was just like being dead, essentially. Now, she's having nightmares and visions, so it's really no better than being awake. At the end of the episode, she finally confesses this to Jamie. And he promises that they will work through it together.
Elsewhere, we find out the Lizzie is pregnant, but she doesn't know who the father is. Apparently, she, Kezzie and Jo are in some kind of throuple? She's been with both of them at the same time, and both on other separate occasions. She's trying to explain to Claire that she knows this sounds weird, but it doesn't feel wrong. And the twins are sort of like one soul. Claire says she's going to have to pick one to marry, because it's not safe to be pregnant and unwed on the Ridge right now.
When Jamie finds out about this, he demands her to pick a twin, but she refuses. He makes them draw straws and Kezzie comes out the victor. Jamie does a handfasting ceremony and tells Jo he must leave until the baby is born. Later that night, Lizzie and Jo ask if Roger will handfast them because she is pregnant and they are in love. Kezzie is there as their witness. So, now, Lizzie is handfast to both of them. Jamie finds out the next day and promises to deal with it. Not sure what that means, though.
Roger has decided he's going to get ordained as a minister and take over the job for real at the Ridge. So, he and Brianna, along with Jemmy set off for a few months.
Obviously, none of 'our' people think Claire murdered Malva, but someone did. But we're not really coming up with any ideas. My money's on her father. That guys an asshole, and I can totally see him killing his pregnant daughter rather than have her shamed.
But no one else seems to see it that way. At the end of the episode, a crazy amount of people show up demanding Claire be arrested for the murder for Malva.
