Stranger Things 2X8: Chapter Eight: The Mind Flayer

Okay, so, we've figure out that Will is a spy for the cloud, spider monster, and if we keep him sedated, he won't be able to pass along any information. Good plan.

However, the demo dogs get free are roaming the building killing everyone they can find. Mike, Joyce, Hopper, Bob, and lab guy, barricade themselves in one of the rooms and then the power goes out. Apparently, fixing it is complicated and the only person who knows how is Bob.

He heads down to the basement to reset it. Afterwards, the lab guy watches the monitors to guide him out so he doesn't encounter any dogs. The rest of the group make it out and Joyce is waiting at the front door for Bob. He finally makes it, and as he and Joyce smile at each other, he's viciously killed by them in front of her. Poor Joyce. (And Bob, too). He was so good to her.

Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, Dustin, Lucas, and Max (and maybe someone else?) drive up in the car to rescue everyone. Once they are all back at Joyce's house, they put Will in a room where he won't know where he is (so he can't tell the monster where they are because he doesn't know), and start to probe to see if they can talk to Will and not the Will possessed by the moster.

They eventually realize that Will is using morse code, and discover that he's in there, and that in order to save him and stop the madness, they need to close the gate.

Unfortunately, the phone rings, alerting Will to where they are, and demo dogs are on the way. As they surround the house, it suddenly gets quiet, and one finally crashes, dead, through the window. El then reveals herself and we see she has killed it. She and Mike have a super long look and it's kind of lovely.

Also, we theorize that if we can kill the monster, all the other creatures will die along with it, so it looks like all we need to do is close the gate, and that will solve all the problems. However, I can only assume that actually doing that is going to be a lot easier said, than done. Plus, if we mange to do that, what are we going to do next season!
