Um, I take it back. I know I said I wanted Brianna, but not like this! I didn't want all Briana all the time. And I really wanted none of Roger. This was a hard episode for me to get through. I think it will end up paying off later on, but right now, I did not watch to watch zero Claire and Jamie. Especially since they haven't had a lot of time together lately.
Anyway, of all the people to find Brianna and take her in, it has to be Laoghaire? Really?!? And she's mostly nice enough to her. Until she finds out that she's Jamie's daughter, and then all hell breaks loose.
Thankfully, Joanie is not nearly as crazy as her mom and helps Brianna escape to Lallybroch. Ian, is lovely and kind to her (I think that was the best part of the episode, the scenes she had with Ian) and helps her get passage on a ship to America. She also takes a servant with her, but only so the girl doesn't end up being sold as a concubine. It seems Brianna has a similar distaste for owning people as Claire (which makes total sense, since she's from 1971).
Roger ends up as a crew member on a different ship where he helps a woman and her child against the rules, and is almost thrown overboard for it. But, luck was with him and he managed to stay alive.
Okay, I don't think this episode was incredibly terrible. But it's 100% not what I wanted. I just want Brianna to show up in North Carolina. Lol. I don't want to have to watch her get there. At least not entirely. But hopefully, this part is over and now we can go back to Jamie and Claire. 🤞
