Arrow 2X23: Unthinkable

Roy's got a mask! I don't know why that seemed so incredibly significant, but it did.

Sara, Nyssa, and a bunch of members of the league show up to help. However, Nyssa and Oliver argue over whether they can be killing people or not. Nyssa goes ahead and kills Isabel, but Oliver doesn't kill Slade and he escapes.

With Roy cured, he immediately calls Thea and she agrees to go meet him. (Oh, by the way, Malcolm is just fine- body armor, but tells Thea she's smart, strong, and exactly the kind of daughter he wants). When she gets to Roy's, he's called off by Felicity and tells Thea to pack and he'll be right back. She finds his bow and arrows, decides she can't trust him and leaves.

They load up injection (?) arrows and shoot all the Deathstroked people as they are trapped in the tunnel. Somehow that case of cure vials was enough to save everyone. I'm just gonna go with it. Lol.

I knew Oliver telling Felicity he loved her was a ruse, but I really thought it was just so she would stay put and be safe. But this was so much better! Totally forgot that Slade had cameras in the house. And in hindsight, Felicity's 'yes' was so sad.

Anyway, after Slade kidnaps Felicity, falling for the bait, I really thought we were gonna end up in another situation of decide which girl you want to live. However, Felicity stabs Slade in the neck with the cure, and during the chaos, Oliver gets the guy who is holding Laurel. Sara runs in and gets both girls out.

Once Slade is immobilized, Oliver calls Amanda and she agrees to call off the drone. They end up shoving Slade in an ARGUS bunker on the island.

Quintin definitely has some kind of internal bleeding or something, because he's choking up blood and all bruised up. Laurel calls 9-1-1. Right before this, Sara heads off back to join the league, so I'm guessing she's gone for a while.

And Thea decides to set off with Malcolm. I have zero idea what comes from that. But I'm excited to a see a more bad ass Thea going forward, which I have to imagine will be true if she's hanging out with Malcolm.

Yeah. I got that now. But I'm still confused as to why she picked him? (Don't tell me if I'm not supposed to know!)

Waller knew about Oliver way before

Oliver carried that picture of Laurel on the island, so Slade knew Oliver's history with her. They talked about it. That's why he took her thinking she was the one he loved. Sure he could have killed her at her apartment, but he wanted Oliver to watch.

There is definitely evidence throughout the season that Oliver has feelings for Felicity. You've never really commented on some of their moments, so maybe you didn't notice or didn't want to get your hopes up, but Felicity being the woman he actually loves was believable to many. Slade didn't lie when he said there was one person that still had to die. For Slade, it was always going to be Shado's equivalent; the woman Oliver loved like he loved Shado. Pretty much since 2x09 when we saw Oliver "choose" between Sara and Shado and Slade appeared in the present swearing vengeance, we knew that there would be a repeat scenario of Oliver's choice. It was set up for us to speculate on who that choice would be between. Felicity, Laurel and Sara were setup as the options. Many speculated that Felicity and Laurel would be the final choice and one of them was who Slade meant based on Oliver and Laurel moments in season 1 and Oliver and Felicity moments in season 2. Sara was just a decoy. Turns out that's how it played out, sort of, lol. There was a choice scenario, but it was Thea and Moira. Slade was not going to give Oliver a choice regarding the woman be loved. He was just going to kill her. Slade thought it was Laurel, so he took her until he saw Oliver and Felicity in the mansion, so now he had the two of them there. I'm not sure what be would have done with Laurel, but he was intent on killing Felicity. Even though they brought laurel out, it wasn't going to be a choice. I love how it was sort of what we anticipated, but with a twist!

Damn you were so quick to spot the lie
