One Tree Hill 3X22: The Show Must Go On

So, the actual wedding part of this wedding was beautiful. Nathan and Haley's vows were perfect. And she looked gorgeous in that dress.

But then, Rachel Racheled, Brooke, and Peyton are barely speaking, Lucas makes it worse, and basically, all hell breaks loose.

At the beginning of this episode, I was so afraid that this was going to end on a cliffhanger with both Nathan and Haley potentially drowning. Instead, we get Nathan trying to play the hero and save Cooper and Rachel, with Haley watching helplessly. Better than I anticipated, but so not good.

In happy news, Karen is pregnant!

I think we're supposed to assume that Rachel is pregnant, but she was drinking heavily at this wedding (and then drunkenly stole the limo and crashed it into a lake- not very pregnant positive things)- so maybe not?

And, of course, Dan now knows the truth. He killed Keith in retaliation for something he didn't even do. Fuck him and his, 'oh no, I'm sad and remorseful now.'

Naley's big, beautiful wedding was the best, and I can't think of a more deserving couple. After everything they've been through already, and how hard they fought to repair their relationship, it was only fitting that they got an epic ceremony to profess their everlasting love for each other in front of all their friends and family. Brooke was right...they do give everyone hope, and a sense of safety knowing that everything is going to be okay. That's epic stuff right there, and the payoff certainly was grand!!! All the drama with the Lucas/Brooke/Peyton triangle was secondary, as it should be in an episode like this, but I can't help but notice the huge obvious contrast between them, and Naley in an episode like this. So thankful that Naley are written in a completely different genuine and organic way. And yes...The Scott Family trio certainly is the best trio on the show. They all just naturally work the way you would expect from family/brothers/and best friends. They always make me smile. And the epic cliffhanger was fabulous; from Nathan playing hero and diving in the river after Cooper and Rachel (amazing dive by James btw), leaving Haley a helpless and frantic mess not knowing their fates. Also, who wrote murderer on Dan's wall? And who else is pregnant besides Karen? This show most definitely knows how to do cliffhangers and this one was no exception. It's one of the very best of the series one could argue. And between this finale and episode 3x16 (the school shooting) it's a big reason why the show ultimately got picked up by The CW and renewed for more seasons. They wanted to show that OTH was not just your average and typical teen genre and everything that transpired with the school shooting certainly proved otherwise and set the stage for the consequences and ramifications for the rest of the series. And as Mark and Co. said with this finale...are you really going to leave Nathan under water and Haley screaming for her husband? lol Love every time they needed to impress the network, they went to Naley. Just the way you would expect.... I mean it's only fitting!!!

I loved Naley's wedding! It was a great payoff for this two-season arc, their marriage. It started with a rushed, but happy marriage at the beginning of season 2 and quickly became a ruined and sad marriage on the verge of divorce by the end of season 2. This season we saw them slowly repair and rebuild their marriage through growth, honesty and communication (something they lacked previously) and address the issues that plagued them in season 2. Their dedication and commitment to making their marriage work deserved this payoff at the end, a planned-big wedding they got to share with their supportive friends and family. It was such a nice contrast to their first hasty wedding. And well earned. On another note, I really love Nathan, Haley and Lucas as a trio. (Brooke, Peyton, and Lucas no thank you.) They are family and bffs. Their individual relationships with each other are some of my favorite relationships on the show. Nathan and Haley, Haley and Lucas, and Nathan and Lucas. Lucas "giving Haley away" to Nathan really was perfect, considering how it all started.

I love Brooke, she’s amazing but man you Brooke lovers say anything lol. You’re really saying “let’s not be honest with our friends, let’s bottle things up and be miserable and not forthcoming” yeah ok lol

The making out yes but she was also not honest! Go look back at season 1, Brooke asked her multiple times about what was going on with her and Peyton wasn’t honest. Yes her sneaking around with Lucas was the main thing but also her not being honest about Brooke about her feelings.

Juy Ahmad

She did that the first time and you saw what happened. This time she was honest and didn’t bottle it in! This is ridiculous, like come on now, you don’t bottle things in, that only makes things worse, you be honest with yourself and everyone around you and deal with the consequences of that but you have to be honest

Juy Ahmad

She was being honest. Last time she wasn’t honest about her feelings and it made things worse but this time she was. You wanted her to keep her feelings inside and not be honest? I don’t get it
