This is a bit of an old piece I drew and wrote some time ago. I figured it was time to have it out here since it's been a while.

Pandemonium raged around in the town of Lunt as the citizens picked up arms against the warlocks and began to give hunt. But Gerald’s focus was to the squirm and twisting going down in his insides as his legs gave out and he fell down on all fours. Eyes closed as if to avoid seeing the changes but also to endure the feeling.
“No, not a chicken!” He repeated still unaware of the changes that were going on. His armor was starting to fall apart. Gerald picked up on this and held up his chest plate from falling, losing his shield as the straps were torn. The feathers had grown fully and were nervously being ruffled by every action he took.
His heart was pounding hard against his chest. His arm resting on the ground for support twitched as it’s surface slowly became scaled and limber, showing off the muscle he was surprisingly starting to build up.
And then there was a strange feeling on his back. His bones shifted around and slowly began to push out. Something was slowly making a growth back there, twitching and itching as it pressed against the fabric of his linen shirt.
“What is going on?” Gerald repeated as he began to realize that the changes weren’t going the way he was expecting them to. His mouth clicked as the two sides of the beak touched, breaking his nose into nothingness and opening a new nasal passage. His face itched like crazy as what felt like tiny feathers covered him.
“This isn’t…” was all he could say when he realized he had a tail, a long tail swishing down freely behind him.
