Greetings Travelers!π§ββοΈ
I have some exciting news to share with you all. Firstly! My subscribers have voted on the miniature set theme for April and that will be new Gargoyles! My community has expressed their need to expand older sets and they chose gargoyles as the first one! Here is the first sketch and first 3d sculpt for that set!
Secondly! Starting in April I'm going to introduce some new fundamental changes to BlueWyvern. Over the course of a few months I've noticed a decline in subs hindering my growth goals and that compelled me to ask for feedback from my community and to reflect on what I could do better as a creator to keep people from unsubbing. After receiving tons of feedback concerning the use and playability of my miniatures, I came to the conclusion that I as a creator should change what I make. I've noticed that my miniatures really don't have an actual use for the audience I'm trying to make them for. As npcs/units for tabletop rpg/wargaming games. Being totally honest, my miniatures were suited for neither. Only as nice display or painting pieces.
So, starting from April I will sculpt my miniatures more for use in wargaming and as tabletop rpg creature npcs. Sculpting them with units and squads in mind. As units of basic infantry, medium and heavy units. For example, with the current line up for my upcoming April set, a squad of 5 gargoyle infantry, 2 medium casters, 1 heavy commander/leader and 1 heavy beast unit. Alongside this new set line up I'm also going to start giving my miniatures modular hands! Where every miniature that has a weapon, will have modular options for different weapons that the miniature can wield. Maybe a sword, an axe or shield. I hope to bring more customization to my miniatures and in turn make them more appealing to the audience I want to attract. I'm going to make every future miniature design modular from now on!
Lastly! With every future release I'm also going to include DND stat sheets for every miniature in a set! Dnd stat sheets that are instantly usable in your tabletop rpg game after printing the matching miniature. Full sheets with stats and actions.
These are all the changes I'm introducing next month. Every single one is focused on increasing the playability and appeal of my miniatures and I hope to grow more as a creator and in subs through it.
Exciting stuff to look forward to for sure. Stay tuned!
