i got great news (and kind of meh news you must have known)
about halloween! the last time i gave myself 9 days (or the whole november) to come up with something and..... that did not work out, he he he he
my plan was: re-do the bonnie scene and theme it around spookiness!
i would start with this:
but then, would i have enough time to animate both the guy and the girl? probably not, so i optimized and ended up with this:

now to animate it right?
it started out well, but then i noticed a problem.
the shapes were not connecting properly when the whole thing was being animated!
it is a common problem in 2d, but i could solve it if i developed a ligature system that could keep shapes connected properly even when animated!
so i did it, but it took like 15 days (12h a day * 15 days = too much time) and the results are:

WOAH! AMAZING RIGHT?!?!?!?!? BEST USE OF 15 DAYS!!
yeah yeah yeah... kind of a bummer... i was thinking about giving up... but then!!
i realized the reason this looks so cheap is because bonie is rendered in the SimplePaige style!
so if i had something like FancyPaige, this would look great!
then i started coming up with FancyPaige thinking that if i could finish in a week (it took me what? 6 months for SimplePaige? sure...) i would have enough time to finish the animation!
but it did not go well. one week passed, and i had no progress... but then!!!
i figured out the problem! paige is not fancy! she is anti-fancy! i was not starting from zero on FancyPaige, i was starting on negative!
so who could be fancy enough already to do it in a week?
so, with a little bit of the forbidden knowledge, i dove deep and...

oh yeah! the engine has evolved to version 0.3 and can now do FancyModels!!!!
one step closer to our final destination...
ok ok... so what now? well, i could waste more time with nonsense that doesnt pay the bills (i say while staring at the formidable leaning stack of bills in front of me), or...
i could put it into a game! but what kind of game? how can i best leverage the engine as fast as possible? decisions decisions....
but that is the plan! make a game as fast as possible! this year still or bust!
