New Characters and a Poll!

Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for joining us on this project, and for sticking around in case you never left!

The launch of A Very Paige Party turned out to be a smooth sailing overall, and much better received than the last game. We had a few urgent bugfixes, five of them to be exact, but no big drama this time.

That took most of our hours these last weeks however, which is mostly why Sindee and Will haven't showed up yet.

We also caught the flu (not THE FLU (we hope)), and that sucks. The downside of working on your own is that those things can completely halt your progress, and out of nowhere.

Well, to the new stuff! It's time to let you guys in on our plans for the upcoming months!

First, the characters! We want to add these beautiful people to the game ASAP:

Will and Sindee are the very next, with Wanda going after them, and then Amanda. We want for every character to have a scene in the game as soon as they join in, but that's something we'd like to talk about with you first...

Going from the feedback we gathered, it seems like the current landscape for H-games is much less forgiving of good ol' visual novel shenanigans, like characters moving like cardboard cutouts...

The amount of requests of "actual animation" was larger than we expected, so we're back wondering if pursuing them should be back on our schedule.

Personally, we don't mind static CGs with the occasional screen shacke or wiggling (when we're playing, the mood is king), but it's undeniable that it looks at it's best "retro" and at its worst, just lazy.

Not that the decision of making them static has anything to do with laziness.

Actual animation, as we see it, is very hard and time-consuming. The only chance we have to afford animation is the cost-effective way of doing it in Spline or Live2D.

But is that good enough? Does it make a large difference to have the artwork "move" in that uncanny way? Is it possible to make animation like that in a way that does not feel uncanny? We don't know!

Should we try? That's what this poll is all about!

Give us your opinion on how we should proceed with the development!

One more thing! Very soon, we're gonna give our trial run of skins a go, and here are the first two:

Kemono Paige is something that was asked about a lot way back in the beginning, and it's something we always wanted to try our hands with, so... There it is!

Spunky Blair is a years old idea that we finally had the chance to add in. Hope her older look still works for ya!

The way skins are planned to work is that when they are activated by the player at the beginning of the game, all appearances of the character will be replaced (including in the CGs and lewd scenes).

Even some of the dialog might change to better accommodate it!

At first, Spunky Blair will be available for everyone when it lands, and Kemono Paige will be on early access (20+ tier) for about 30 days. After that, we're not really sure...

Should we make skins only available to be acquired for limited amounts of time? We're inclined to make things this way to better reward the patrons that stick around, which is something we really wish we could do better.

By the way, if you have any more ideas on how could we do it, we'd love to hear it!

Finally, since we're back on monthly charges, we plan on releasing at least one new piece of content per month. March's already on its way, but sticking to that further is gonna require a plan. A master plan. More about that soon!

Make sure to vote on the poll! It's super important to us!

Thanks again for your awesome support, and see you soon!
