Painting Neon_Noir's POV Commission

Many apologies for not posting for a while but I've been very busy painting this BEAST of a painting for Neon_Noir.

The requirements were very specific and while they didn't quite include a cast of thousands, there were a lot of latex vintage nurse costumes to paint and a lot of planning in the environment and how to arrange every idea they wanted to incorporate in the scene.

Unusually I suggested paint the scene in landscape and a16:9 widescreen aspect ratio since my client is a bit of a movie buff and because I knew I'd be able to get a better POV shot crammed with all the characters they wanted from that angle.

I decided to work mostly front-to-back during painting so I could get the background done early and the trickier perspective and rendering on our helpless superhero and the ladies close enough to be off-camera nailed first.

Numerous little adjustments were made throughout the painting including entirely redoing two of the faces on a couple of the nurses as I didn't feel they were working. Final adjustment for my client were to switch up the hair colour on the nurses as well as adding a watch for Matron.

I'll publish the final piece at the weekend when I release the final files to my client and am anticipating having to post to Instagram a cropped version as I fear it may be a bit too much for their sensibilities.

In the mean-time, I'm starting on a new, slightly less ambitious piece to cool down after what has been quite a journey on this work.
