Baby Doll - Sketch

I wanted to do a quick little painting after the complex commission of Mistress Michelle Lacy and a weekend of putting together a website.  So, I thought I'd create a simple composition and go for it.

I fancied also giving myself the challenge of painting lots of transparent latex with plenty of frills.

So I started sketching and with our Baby Doll drawn decided she needed a background.  I'd had an idea of a bed with integrated breathing equipment, so that went into the mix.  Then came the background - adding in a couple of nurses and a bit of background shelving.

Suffice to say that things got more complicated as I decided to fill the shelves and with a spare bit of space at her feet, I decided to bring in more tubing and props.

Bits of trivia: The nurse outfits' headpieces are inspired by the air hostesses in 2001: A Space Odyssey, there are a couple of Beamiersch masks on those shelves (adore those things, would love to own one) and the anaesthesia mask in the foreground is a tribute to PinkToxin's fetish posts (see https://www.instagram.com/sextoysformouth) which are quite a deliciously kinky take on a mask that seemed appropriate for this pic.

I definitely have at least 3 or 4 variations on the cards for this one - certainly unmasked, a version where she's 'pacified' and a full breathing mask, plus also whether or not she has exposed breasts.

Certainly going to be fun to paint all those layers and see if I can pull the look off. I adore billowy frilled latex as much as I love the sleek stuff.

I have an IRL (vanilla...yawn!) commission to do some work on this weekend but hope to post v. soon with the flats work...which itself is going to be interesting to do as a lot of the material here is going to be transparent...
