Nurse P
Added 2021-08-28 15:55:42 +0000 UTCAfter my 'chess' piece (which turned out to be very well received) I decided to take on something a little lighter weight and paint one of my most favourite dressing-up outfits based on a delicious nurse's outfit from Westward Bound. Introducing 'Nurse P' who I decided should be featured in a scene administering some kind of 'therapy' to Nikki.
In my initial sketch I left the nurse's hand open and tried a number of different things for her to hold from outsized syringes, insertable probes, handfuls of straps and shackles to control devices, inflation pumps, an anaesthetic mask and finally a gas mask. I knew that as the painting evolved I'd figure out which of these ideas would be the ones I wanted to include.
I blocked out the original piece and as I painted decided to try out some additional heavy rubber items, first by introducing a formidable-looking helmet stacked with breathing bags and tubes, and then deciding to go all the way, giving Nikki a full catsuit, corset, bloomers and giving the nurse herself a gasmask.
The result - three variants on the final painting, I hope somewhere in those variations you have a favourite!
