Monthly vote: Rusty old tractor
Added 2022-12-01 12:36:22 +0000 UTCWinter finally arrived at full force, as we move along this cold times sooner than it seems we will reach a new year and in that next year’s first tale Senor will bring us back into the Keys & Chains world with one of the rather unique transformations that series offer and a gimmick for the Monthly vote we haven’t use too much.
See, my lovely Patrons, this time you are not gonna vote what the protagonist of this tale will transform into, because that’s set from the start: She will transform into a tractor.
This story will follow a stoic farm lady, a hard working woman, mother and widow that owns, regents and works a modest farmland that has been struggling into collapse for some time. Choked by debt, twisted serendipity made our farmer end up in possession of one of the titular Keys that can turn a person into a vehicle, the perfect solution for the issue of a very important piece of farming equipment having broken leaving her workplace in need of a tractor.
It would have been easier to relegate the responsibility of being a tractor to one of her workers, but our protagonist isn’t that kind of woman and she chooses to carry that burden and humiliation on her shoulders… and her wheel.
Now she exists in a precarious equilibrium between being a farmer and being machinery. An impossible imaginary that will bring conflict into her life and also introspection, she will discover new things about herself and about the kinks that make her gears spin.
What you will vote in this Monthly vote is how her story will end.
Will our protagonist find self reassurance? Will she succumb to the changes? Will she manage to achieve balance? Or will she push her luck too far?
