Weekly Inquiry 83: Why? How?

Inquiring meta-TF shenanigan for this inquiry... but what do you prefer in a TF? The how or the why?
This concept may need some explanation.
The how is what’s often called the trigger... a magic coin or a science serum...
The why is how that trigger comes to effect and the TF begin... the girl with the magic coin say something silly or the assistant in the lab is very clumsy with the serum...
They are interchangeably sometimes, not at always essential, is pretty easy to write a tale without hows or whys, but you kinda need at lest one of them, but is an interesting aspect of the genre.
Why and how someone gets TF can say a lot about the character or the point of the tale... or make things more kinky...!
For me personaly the whys are more interesting, hows tend to only call my attention when it's a fun and/or rare gimmick.
Tell me, what do you prefer? Knowing how you are going to get TFed? Or why? XP
