Pre-Champ Page 7-1 (Overseas)

Either way, very happy with this set; wanted to have a transitional page showing Lance going from Kanto/Johto to Unova. If you don't show the transition it makes the act of traveling feel like less of a big deal and wanted to emphasize that another region meant something huge. Sabrina will continue to accompany him as a companion of sorts. ^_^ Just no idea, very simple and adorable set of pages of him getting packed, hugged, sailing over, and in the middle of the big city. He and Dratini have a fair few adventures before them in Unova. Really had fun with all the tiny details here; the Unfezant in the window, Lance's Rayquaza backpack (STUFFED with padding), Martin threw in a poster for the Society of Battle Connoisseurs targeting regressed trainers.... Very cute stuff. Also, since Lance doesn't really battle with his Magikarp he's leaving it until he gets back, hence him saying good-bye to it. I feel compelled to mention that during Christmas Martin gave me a statue of Lance and his Dragonite that's been on my desk, so he's been watching me draw this comic. Just amusing to me. ^^
