It is now December. I'm kinda tired and cranky. I got a COVID booster shot, and my left shoulder has swelled up like a balloon and hurts like a mofo. It's so painful that I woke up at around 12:00 this morning and haven't been able to fall back asleep. But I'm sure you're not here to listen to me complain, so let me get right down to it.
With the start of the new month comes a few changes. First, I will begin posting chapters for A Most Unlikely Hero 10 for Yuki-Onna and above-tier patrons. Chapters from Incubus 4 have been removed as well. I hope everyone enjoyed reading it.
However, the biggest change is that WIEDERGEBURT: Legend of the Reincarnated Warrior has officially ended as of Act VII chapter 42.
WIEDERGEBURT has been my main series for a very long time. I started posting chapters for this three years ago. In fact, the first chapter was posted on November 5, 2018. While I wouldn't go so far as to say it feels like an era has ended, it definitely feels like both an ending and a beginning for me.
Especially since I'll be posting a new series soon.
My new series:
The new series is called Severing Time & Space. It is another cultivation series, but this one is going to feel a lot more like a classic example of the Chinese cultivation web novels some of you may have read such as Battle Through the Heavens, Martial God Asura, and others. I'm planning to add some of the fun Chinese idioms and tropes I didn't add in WIEDERGEBURT, things like the young master who has eyes but cannot see, people who scream "you are courting death!" after the protagonist insults them, and so on. It should be fun.
When I'll post chapters:
The first chapter will go up on Patreon for Kitsune patrons tomorrow. Like always, I'll post new chapters on Monday and Thursday, and by the time WIEDERGEBURT is officially finished updating for all my patrons, every tier will be able to read Severing Time & Space.
What makes this story unique:
This story is going to be unique in several ways, but the biggest one is that I'll be writing this as I go. WIEDERGEBURT: Legend of the Reincarnated Warrior is a series that I finished writing back in 2019. I am unable to make any large-scale changes because the story is already finished and any serious deviation could cause the entire plot to collapse on itself. The most I can do is find contradictions within my story and correct them before the published light novel versions go live.
Such is not the case for Severing Time & Space. I will be posting chapters the same day I write them.
What this means:
Chapters for this story will be between 2,000 and 4,000 words long. To be honest, the whole reason I was in a mad rush to finish WIEDERGEBURT is that I was constantly worried that I'd experience writer's block and be unable to consistently post chapters for you. That ended up not being the case, and instead, I worked myself so hard that each day I was mentally exhausted. Spending 12+ hours a day seven days a week writing because you're stressing about not having enough chapters for your patrons was not fun, even though I love writing. I'm going to try and take it a little easier this time. I'll write a chapter and post it the same day it's been written. You could say you'll be getting new chapters hot off the press.
Because I'll be writing chapters the day of posting, I can afford to make larger changes to my story based on reader opinions, but just as importantly, I will be able to create polls that will allow readers to have some control over the direction my story takes. For example, I might introduce a poll asking you which woman you wanted added to the protagonist's harem. Speaking of, the harem will be no larger than seven women. While this series isn't written yet, I've already got three who are going to be in the harem, so that leaves four slots left. Choose wisely. Lol.
Web novel:
Severing Time & Space will be a web novel, meaning I plan to post chapters on sites like Scribble Hub, Royal Road, Wattpad, Tapas, and Webnovel. However, chapters will not be posted for this series on those sites until my Patreon is an entire volume ahead. I think there's gonna be something like 30-40 chapters for a single volume, so you'll be at least 30 chapters ahead of the web novel version.
I'm sure I had more to say, but it's getting harder to think. Typing this out is causing my arm to throb, so I'll leave it at that.

Yeah. That's always been a problem with translated stories. Certain phrases don't translate well. I'm hoping to rearrange the phrasing for popular Chinese idioms in a way that works with the English language. Bar fights will also be done at a minimal.

The problem i find with most Chinese to english conversions is linguistic in nature much like the Japanese manga and reading left to right things get miseed spallling and concepts do not tend to come across very well, as long as things dont keep happening like fights in bars/restaurants such as the cliche "you spilt my beer" for every chapter things should be hunky dory.

This way you can continue to read my stories, I can continue to write my stories, and we can all be happy. Lol. And I've got high expectations for this new series. It's gonna be the best of both worlds.
2021-12-02 14:29:43 +0000 UTCThank you. I feel much better now, though I slept almost the entire day yesterday. Volume 9 is the first volume of Act III. This series is probably gonna be around 25-27 volumes long, so we're looking at a minimum of 16 more volumes. Because it takes such a long time to create a publishable volume, my Patreon is far far far ahead of where the light novels are. And thank you. I'm excited for the new series!

So I do have to ask, I'm a little confused about you stopping the WIEDERGEBURT books you said that your done with it after ark 7 chapter 42. How does that work? I have your books on kindle up to volume 9, witch ark is volume 9 a part of and how many volumes are after it? Its nice to hear that your starting a new series. I'll be looking forward to it.

Also I think that sounds interesting I always like the Chinese cultivation stories but I find what was missing was harems! and harems! and LOL.😋😎
