Yes. When Nosferatu - https://www.imdb.com/video/vi3025273881/ - came out in 1922 the Bram Stoker estate sued them and won. All copies were to be destroyed. And they all were but one. One lawyer decided he loved art more than the law and kept his copy (destined for the furnace). All copies of Nosferatu today are descended from that one. It was ALMOST a lost film - https://www.wikiwand.com/en/List_of_lost_films Also - I have seen it and it's scary. it's scary NOW.. can you imagine how scary is was in 1922? Also, it inspired Alan Moore's brilliant portmanteau in his Top Ten comic, for the Vampire Mafia - Costa Nosferatu. That guy is the best...
