It's amazing how a couple of days oil painting has changed my use of acrylics drastically. I went from a flatter and more methodical application of paint to something looser.

acrylic is definitely one of those things you have to apply very carefully or add a lot of layers in order to make soft form. It's not like oil where you can just mush it around and voila, a gradient.
