Dragon knight going to be late

So, I wrote most of this chapter months ago. Yesterday I wrote the connecting section to smoothly link it to the rest of the story. I then went to copy and paste the old stuff and it was gone. I spent the next eight hours looking through hundreds of sample chapters and folders full of parts of the story for it. To my severe frustration I never found it.

This morning I discovered that at least a dozen other pre written chapters are missing. As I started to have a breakdown I remembered that I have a passport backup drive. A quick look at the folder backed up there reveled that more than 50! chapters are missing. They are all on the drive and I copied them back over but I have NO idea what happened to them, or if others are still missing. This whole experience has left me rattled and uncomfortable. So as I post this I am beginning the editing that was supposed to start yesterday.

Unfortunately, I am giving a possible renter a tour of the property in an hour. I have no idea how long this will take but it is possible the chapter wont be up until tomorrow morning. I am so sorry I lost a whole day of work panicking as I realized stuff was missing.
