Hi everyone!
I'm working on a video which involves benchmarking an Intel iGPU. One of the things I want to test is hardware video transcoding.
Unfortunately, there isn't really a 'golden standard' benchmark for hardware video transcoding with QuickSync, so it's hard to compare my results with other CPUs.
So if you have an machine with an non-F series Intel processor running Windows or Linux, and want to contribute to the next video, please do the following:
1. Download Handbrake 1.6.1: https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php
2. Download this test file: https://www.larmoire.info/jellyfish/media/jellyfish-140-mbps-4k-uhd-h264.mkv
3. Load the file into Handbrake, choose "Official > Hardware > H.265 QSV 2160p 4K
4. Click "Start" to transcode the video, taking note the average FPS displayed during the process and the time needed to transcode after the process is done (see the screenshots)
Feel free to comment with the results under this post, or send them to me in a DM! ❤️
