MOVIE REACTION POLL

"Look at that Location!"

Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely Thursday Morning and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to Thursday and Friday.

No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first!

Some films I actually seen in theaters myself this year. Only seen them once though.

Comments

Even though it's all CGI, "Ready player one" has a great setting.

Mark Willis

Keep the faith - it might get its reaction one day. But I agree. Location plays the lead role in a lot of Australian New Wave cinema. Walkabout (1971) and Wake in Fright (1971) both spring to mind. Like Picnic at Hanging Rock, location looms large over everything, and I really loved how each of the directors (both non-Australian) gave their outback settings a genuinely mythic - and unnerving - power. Walkabout is worth watching for a completely unique film experience (it's also notable as legendary Aboriginal actor David Gulipilil's first film).

Tetley

Owes its reputation solely to the car chase. Otherwise, and I say this as a fan of slow burn movies, it's boring as hell.

ActionJeans

Picnic at Hanging Rock is a MASTERPIECE in location, such a shame its obviously not popular enough

Matt

I love little miss sunshine but it hasn't got alot to do with location, films that should be watched for location having a major impact on the story and the way it transports you into that world are really missing out here

Matt

I gotta confess I’m a film nerd and I haven’t even seen Bullitt. It’s a stain on my credibility and I know I should do better.

Kaitlin

Paris, Texas... what a heartwarming movie, i can't wait for it to win

Barjas

The Bullitt disrespect is insane

Ken Veader

Wow, we were all crazy for that van back then and we’re still crazy about it now! 👧☀️

Kaitlin

Any idea when you will post the next TV show poll?

Chuck

Voted for the Peter weir double. Witness and picnic at hanging rock. Gotta support fellow Aussies (not to mention one of the great, underrated directors)

Tetley

Paris Texas will always be a very special film to me hope James can experience it some day

Matt

A bunch of great movies to choose from this week. All of these need to come back at some point.

RICHARD

French Dispatch is so damn charming.

Kaitlin

little miss sunshine is such a gem 🥹 take the location aspect lightly on this one i’d say, it does somewhat come into play for sure (family road trip in van, forced to be together, different dynamics) but just enjoy this good ass movie! phenomenal cast. you said you just went to see your family this is a perfect movie about family with the perfect amount of comedy, drama & heart ❣️

Lily

LOTS of movies a set in one place but filmed in another

Jason

Hausu pls

Kelvin

Bro fuck paris Texas, they don't even have a single frame of the city in that entire movie. It's a fine movie but it's all based on a lie lol.
