2021-01-27 07:17:14 +0000 UTCThe one thing about Band of Brothers that people are not mentioning is the fact that it is entirely based on REAL LIFE events. It has Documentary interviews with the real life veterans at the beginning of each episode. They discuss events in the episode which really adds to perspective of the show and makes it much more impactful. Comparing this to Mr. Robot show is just nonsense. Mr. Robot is a great show but it is still fiction. These are both really great shows but they are completely different. My guess is James will end up watching Mr. Robot as soon as he finishes Mandalorian season 2. He only has 5 more episodes of Mando but BoB will take a long time to watch because each episode can be over an hour, so he might as well add Mr. Robot into the Mando slot each week after it ends.

These are a newer way of telling stories. BoB isn't the first by any means but I believe it to be one of the better early example. I know, they've had mini-series going back to the seventies if not before but to my thinking this is different.

2021-01-25 00:47:06 +0000 UTCI don't really watch tv show reactions unless it is topical to what I watch at that time or some pivotal episodes (like the red wedding) so I only voted for Wandavision. Those longer series are very good - The Expanse is the only long running series I still watch - but if I had to pick a longer series for you to react to it would be Dark on Netflix. It is one cohesive story told in 3 short seasons. Quality European drama with some added sci-fi to make your mind pop. And it manages to make it go pop multiple times over all the seasons. I've watched several YTers react to it and all seem to agree it is the best series on Netflix, hands down. Better than Stranger Things.
