Audit Progress June Update

For those who have been paying attention, you likely are aware that we are in the playtesting stages of what has come to be called the Audit Update for the Guide. We have always maintained that the release would be some six months after it began - sometime in August has been the target date set for some time now.

While the team continues to playtest, refine, and iron out the kinks, I believe we are close to the point where it is ready to be released into the wild. We are pleased to announce that the original timetable has been moved up and we believe we will be able to release in late July. We have a couple of possible internal dates, but will not give those just in case something goes sideways. Once we're closer, we'll give a more definitive timeframe.

In the past, when updating the guide, we have always released a changelog to go with it. This has allowed those with already installed Guides to see not only what changed, but make it easier to transition to the new versions and updates. This will still occur with this update, but we believe that it would be far easier and less problematic for all users to do a complete rebuild from scratch. Yes, the changes are that big and that significant. The list of changes, as you've seen in previous announcements, is not small - indeed, this may well be the largest change and update in the Guide's history, far surpassing even the OMEGA update nearly three years ago.

We would also recommend, in the near-term, that you continue your installs as they are currently listed and enjoy the game as it is. Don't hold off on installing and enjoying Skyrim now in anticipation of this update - not just yet anyhow. The target time frame is still four to six weeks off - no reason to put it down just because a lot of change is coming.
