Guypods are a species of artificial sentience from another timeline where all biological species have since perished due to rapid climate change. Previously they had simply existed as a virtual assistant program on a smartphone, but after the humans who built them all disappeared, they began to evolve. Eventually, these smartphones began to construct new models, opting for larger and larger bodies until they were approximately the size of a small human.

These creatures are flat and rectangular in shape, with a screen on their upper front panel. This screen is used to display various faces and images in order to communicate emotion. While guypods express a vast amount of languages from the speakers imbedded within their bodies, they are mostly known for these emotive screens, often using them with creative flair.

The bottom front of a guypod features what looks like a clicking mechanism and rotating wheel, similar to what you’d find on an early edition music device. It does not function in that way, however. This section is actually the guypods central mechanical organ, which hosts a unique ventilation system and provides the guypod with all of its sensory functions. It smells, hears and tastes through this zone.

Guypods are a kind species with a reverence for the humans who created them, despite the fact that it’s humans who eventually destroyed their home timeline. After leaving their original reality and spreading out across the Tingleverse, guypods have been very open about their central desire to be near the humanity that they miss.
