(Timeline Tuesday #83)
Boxers are gentle creatures in the shape of a cube, possessing four long appendages with which they use to maneuver around and manipulate objects. These tentacles are a dark, forest green, with no bones inside but commanding a series of powerful muscles. The appendages end with simple pads, and the underside of these pads are covered in sharp, teeth-like growths. These teeth are not used to attack their prey, however, only to defend boxers when threatened, or to climb surfaces as they make their escape. Boxers have four eyes, positioned at the front of their bodies, with slit for a mouth that features two small tusks on either side. Their frames are usually one to three feet across.
The body of a boxer is the most fascinating part of this creature, and where it derives its name. This cube is almost entirely hollow, most of its organs fitting into a thin layer at the bottom.
Boxers possess an innate ability to draw on nearby timelines, their bodies shifting through time and space and picking up objects along their journey. While the creature appears to be solid and unmoving on our timeline, their insides will shift until capturing a physical object that occupies this space in another reality. In practice, this creates a very specific effect. Every time a boxer is opened, a new random object will appear inside.
Most of the objects removed from the body of a boxer are useless: rocks, sticks, single silverware pieces, old food packaging, an expired movie ticket, a button, a broken watch. Every once in a while, however, a boxer will produce something magnificent. It is unknown why this creature is equipped with such a powerful ability, as it has little advantage to the boxer itself.
Boxers prefer dark, quiet places, usually tucking away in basements, attics, or natural caves.
