(Timeline Tuesday #8)
Technically speaking, this entity is two separate minds within the same body, although the connection between these two brains is so strong it can be difficult to distinguish their unique personalities. Closer observation will reveal Brevis to possess a more hyperactive and aggressive demeanor, while Headbutt is slower and slightly less motivated. Both are severely lacking in cognitive intelligence.
Brevis and Headbutt appear as a teenage humanoid male with two-heads. Their craniums are distinctly elongated, and their distinct, top-heavy hairstyles make them appear even taller. The body they share is always clad in a blue shirt promoting the “endless cosmic drone” of The Void. While their legs appear human, their upper appendages show a distinct Voidal influence through the manifestation of two slithering black tentacles. The teeth of Brevis and Headbutt are large and sharp, perfectly suited for tearing flesh.
The most distinct feature of this unique entity, however, is that it only exists in two dimensions.
As three dimensional beings, we often only consider the existence of other timelines that also contain three dimensions. However, there are plenty of realities featuring more or less dimensions, hosting creatures that evolved accordingly. Brevis and Headbutt derive from one such reality, a realm that we might otherwise perceive as cartoonish.
While this entity bears many similarities to notable cartoons, their existence is actually brought about through a Voidal tear that occurred on their original timeline. This Voidal influence warped the characters into a strange abomination of their former selves, transforming them into something from beyond the great abyss.
As drawn creatures, Brevis and Headbutt do not require sleep or sustenance. However, they will sometimes enact these behaviors in accordance with a storyline they perceive themselves to be on. In this case, the entity will attack and consume with animalistic aggression.
