DAVY CRAWLER – N/A TIMELINE (THE VOID)

Born in 1786 and supposedly passing away in 1836, Davy Crockett was an American frontiersman and folk hero whose adventures have long captivated the people of America. While many of his deeds were factually recorded in precise detail, his life story has evolved into a series of tall tales that are difficult to verify. Because of this, there is still plenty of debate about his final adventure.

By some accounts Davy Crockett did not die, but stumbled upon a timeline tear in near the end of his life. Climbing inside, Davy embarked on a new mission of discovery, not realizing just how dangerous The Void could be. This was not just another journey in the woods.

While most explorers would quickly meet their demise within The Void, Davy Crockett was a notorious survivalist. He managed to avoid death for years within this horrific landscape, all while struggling to find a way back out, but unfortunately this only gave The Void more time to warp Davy’s body and mind. Due to time’s infinite nature within The Void, Davy Crockett gradually transformed in Davy Crawler, a terrifying Voidal beast with an insatiable hunger for death and destruction.

Davy Crawler is a large creature, with six, twelve-foot-long tentacles protruding evenly from the sides of his body. The crawler uses these tentacles to maneuver about, quickly traversing rough terrain or climbing sheer vertical walls if needed. Davy Crawler’s body is round and covered by a hard carapace, featuring a single segmented tail with a sharp, piercing needle at the end. It uses this needle to kill any prey unfortunate enough to get wrapped up in the crawler’s powerful grasp.

While Davy Crawler feels most at home in The Void, this monstrous form has been known to creep into forests timelines while hunting for prey. Similar to most Voidal creatures, Davy Crawler kills for sport, rather than food, and only needs to eat approximately twice a year due to an incredibly slow metabolism.

While this horrific monster lacks most of the humanity it once had, Davy Crawler still sports the coonskin cap he was known for in a previous life.

Due to similarities between this creature and Rob from The Friend (Davy Swimmer), it is loosely theorized that all Davy’s are particularly susceptible to Voidal influence.
