Drama Recs We Loved!

What's a drama you never would have watched on your own, but you watched it because someone you trusted recommended it to you, and now you are eternally indebeted to them for bringing such unimagineable joy into your life?
Megan is queen of just randomly watching a drama she knows nothing about. I, however, am so ridiculously type A that if I have time to watch a drama on my own (aside from one we're all watching for the pod), I copiously research to make sure I'm devoting my 16-20+ hours to something I'll hopefully love. Which is why I am eternally grateful Megan decided on a whim to watch I AM NOT A ROBOT and insisted that Lia and I watch it too! If you have not seen this drama, consider this post your trusted recommendation! And also, I can't get over how adorable Um Ki-Joon was in this and then how horrible he was in LITTLE WOMEN. The man's got some acting SKILLZ.
Also, another shout to Grace for recommending Go Back Couple for the pod. Never would have found that gem otherwise. And of course, Lia, for breaking through my historical drama aversion and finally getting me to watch Mr. Sunshine.

After watching CLOY twice back to back in 2020 I was at a loss as to what to watch next but knew I had to keep watching K dramas. Luckily my daughter, who had been in Thailand in 2015, remembered everyone was watching While You Were Sleeping and suggested that. It was great! And the rest is history…..

2022-12-23 23:08:50 +0000 UTCIf it weren't for the pod, I would have never watched Reply 1988, Hospital Playlist or Prison Playbook. They would show up on my netflix recommended list but the posters and descriptions never grabbed me. But I'm so glad I watched them cause they are complete gems.
