Added 2025-11-09 18:10:49 +0000 UTC1.8p3 is now available. Finally got around to fixing the flat spot haptic when changing tires or restarting the session. In addition, flat spots should now only accumulate when wheel locking over tarmac or kerb surfaces. Let me know if find any other issues with it!

Nothing changed in terms of core ffb or strength of effects between 1.7 and 1.8, so I'm not sure what is happening here. Are you sure you did not modify any settings in the script on 1.7? If so, you will have to set those again when selecting 1.8. About drifting, I'm not sure how well the flatspot effect works with that, but no one mentioned a problem to me. You could try to turn it off and see.
