Hello! I’ve been on an almost unusual spree of just laying back and drawing traditionally, which is something I haven’t done much in my drawing “career” since I started digital right when I was a beginner, so it’s been really fun to play with pencil and paper while I’m in Tokyo.
As for my time in Tokyo, it’s been really enjoyable, I stopped being as self conscious as I was we when I first got here, of course I still am with things like making sure I look proper and stuff like that, the basics really. The quality of life here is just so enjoyable, how clean and convenient things are, affordable GOOD food, good public transportation and low crime. I’ve been going to Akihabara a lot which of course is otakus paradise, it’s a small area but there’s a lot to unpack. I’ve been buying doujinshi and gifts for friends here, so material for myself is really for art reference, so when I get back to my hotel, all I want to do is draw which ends up being on paper. There’s still a lot I want to draw related to my trip but I haven’t gotten around to it because I haven’t felt like drawing on my iPad. But I am getting my practice in on paper so that’s good experience to have. I’ll be sure to draw ultear soon!
Have you all been well?
