I take it youβve worked out that Delβs French is pretty much meaningless. Possibly my favourite episodes of the season.

Absolutely love OFAH, most episodes are top drawer, and it genuinely does get better and better but this one is an OK one, nothing more. Not sure what Benidorm was like in 1982, but its beachfront is all high rise now, Levante beach especially, but Poniente beach is pretty built up too! Of course, they didn't go to Benidorm to film the beach scenes- it was a UK beach and winter. David Jason was freezing during filming! ππ On the ages of Del and Rodney, writer John Sullivan was pretty fluid with the timeline. In the very first episode, Rodney is 23. This was 1981. Del claimed to be 13 years older making him 36. In reality, David was actually 41. He looks much closer to his own age than Del's - I am 40 this year and look closer in age to Rodney than Del! Haha! But I do look easily 10 years younger than I am. In a 1985 episode Rodney says he's 24 so he's aged 1 year in 4. In 1989 he says he's 26 and in 1996 he's apparently 34 so Rodney ages very slowly! And there's no way Del is only 47 in 1996! π Still, Del is young at heart I guess. Younger and more laid back than Rodney in many ways! π
