2025-08-09 20:50:01 +0000 UTCSuper excited for DB, just some information about all the Z stuff: The original DBZ suffers from a lot of filler and bad pacing and the filler isn't just in random episodes like Naruto, they would add the filler in the same episodes as important fights and story moments so it's a hard watch even if you skip filler episodes. The DBZ dub is very outdated and inaccurate to the story in the manga and in the sub version. They changed and added dialogue because they thought American children were too dumb to understand anything complex, any moment of silence had random dialogue slapped in and you can tell the actors were new to doing voices for anime, the Dragon Ball dub was done years after the DBZ dub thats why it sounds way better and they don't change the script at random like they did in DBZ. Kai doesn't have these issues which is why I recommend it, tbh the only reason to watch DBZ is if it's in japanese because the dub is just that bad 90% of the time. People do have a lot of nostalgia for it which I understand but it just disrespects the work of Toriyama since they changed it around so much. Sorry for the long message Dragon Ball is just GOAT'd so this stuff is important
