Now I gotta start watching to see if Pearl ever eats a Krabby Patty or if Mr Krabs always makes sure she doesn't eat them. Even when she took over and made "The Kuddly Krab" it had "Salads" instead of Krabby Pattys.

2025-09-16 12:30:26 +0000 UTCI think "leans more on story and less on quality jokes" is pretty spot on. We are watching characters we know go through amusing scenarios but it's not particularly FUNNY except for a rare good joke here or there. I mean obviously the writing is what suffered from the changes to the team working on the show. They came up with scenarios to fill episodes with, they came up with some jokes, but it all just feels kind of average. While it's by no means bad, it just feels a lot more like "just another cartoon doing its thing", rather than this extremely unique and iconic enigma of a show that shaped a generation.
