For April's Copic Challenge, I wound up coming up with the pose myself, opting to do a little something with perspective.
Where the references come in are with the puddles--I knew I had wanted to include a reflection of the sky in them, so I went out and took some photos of puddles after some rainfall (it's been a rather rainy 2025 so I had no shortage of these!). So this is a case where I made my own references!
Also included are all the Copics I used in the making of this piece. Not as numerous as March's, but this one still surprised me as I used a lot more than I had expected!
The last bit of information is a bit of a local thing. If you notice the "Creative Lounging" periodical box, it's a legally distinct nod to "Creative Loafing", a periodical that used to publish physical newspapers. It basically served as the go-to source for arts and culture in Atlanta, and featured prominently alternative and progressive voices in its pages. I used to pick these up weekly and read them on the bus! They're no longer publishing the periodical (as is such with this day and age), but they do still have a website serving as a guide to local arts, music, and cultural events.
In fact, a bit of Atlanta influence may have found its way into May's illustration, but I'll talk about that when I cover the behind-the-scenes for that piece.
Thank you as always for your support and patience! Stay tuned for more goodies...
