Thankfully he had a lot of support and friends to help him through it, and grew up into a completely normal, caring guy who just happened to also be a werewolf. He works as a nurse in a clinic that Lucas ends up frequenting when his life takes a turn for the worse, and Markus falls for him almost immediately.
The scar's from an ex-boyfriend who manipulated Markus into turning him, but lost control and attacked him. Markus really doesn't like to talk about it.
