I remember trying to speak with my aunt about it. She didn't know, of course. I hated the idea that more occurred without me having seen it. I eventually did, of course... and then some. ๐ And, yes, I was that kid reading SPLINTER OF THE MIND'S EYE (1978) on the commute to and from school, lent to me by my friend Daniel, who I'd seen reading it. The cover art is epic, by Ralph McQuarrie. ๐
