A message from Ben to all Drunken Peasants supporters. Past, present, and future.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who have generously contributed to the success and sustainability of this show over the past 5 years. I constantly hear stories from fans of all walks of life talking about the positive impact DP has had on them throughout the years, and words cannot explain how much it means to me to hear that.
2018 was obviously a very turbulent year. Not only for the show and it's loyal audience, but for me personally as well. This time last year I wasn't even sure if we would be able to make it to where we are today with the show still continuing to exist. I understand just as well as anyone that when huge changes are made to something we know and love, it can make us upset confused and angry. It is for this reason that I can't begrudge anyone who stopped watching due to those big changes.
Very often I see comments on videos and social media from people who seem offended that I dared to continue the show, and make it clear that they not only wish the worst for the current incarnation of the show, but for me personally as well. I hope someday that they will realize that I didn't have a choice for many reasons. The biggest of them being that after 4 years of putting all of my effort into making this show a success, and making a huge move to the other side of the country left me with no other options. I would like to thank them for having supported the show regardless of how they feel about it now. You're always welcome back no matter what, and it is both an honor and a pleasure to continue doing the show for the people who do still enjoy it. Regardless of my limited options.
For those of you that are still here, I can't thank you enough. You have my eternal gratitude for not giving up on us, and continuing to be positive and supportive. I want to let you all know that I have taken a lot of your feedback over the past few year and I hope to be be adding at least 2 new semi-regular hosts this year. We're also looking to add more exciting guests, and some fresh new content to both the YouTube channel and Patreon. Feedback in the comments below is both welcome and encouraged.
In closing, I just wanted to mention that there are big things on the horizon for DP. We have weathered almost half of the storm, and the turbulent times will soon be behind us. Thank you so much for believing in Billy, me, and the show. Most of all, thank you for believing in yourselves. Our show is nothing without it's loyal audience, and that makes you just important as me or anyone who actually appears on the show, If not more. The Drunken Peasants isn't this elite group of a few people. It's all of us. Past, present, and future. It's long overdue that we take the time to acknowledge that.

Hey Ben, I've listed to DP Podcast since about summer 2014 (I think episode #35 or #34 were my first), and I can honestly say I learned a lot and it also helped me through difficult times and gave me inspiration to make something out of my own life. You've always been extremely dedicated, professional, as well as fun host - you've had a knack for what the audience likes and doesn't and your shows have staying power. I have many of the quotes from your shows memorized because it was THAT funny, I often scroll down and look for my favorite episodes, and despite having listened to some dozens of times, still funny. I am re-listening to your entire back catalog (I'm on Episode #13) and unlike many other topical and news based podcasts and shows, your old shows are still funny, still relevant, and still a quality product I would recommend to others, and have just subscribed to. From what I've learned about you from your show, you've been through some really tough times in your life Ben (as have I and many listeners) and it is inspiring that through all your personal difficulties as well as professional challenges you've made this a consistent and reliable part of our lives, as well as even expand to other podcasts like Benpai. While I greatly acknowledge the invaluable contributions of previous hosts (TJ, Scotty, and Pauls Ego) as well as the excellent introduction of new ones (Billy the Fridge) I have always noticed that you have been the glue that held the podcast together. Like the old episodes joked "if Ben's not here, there isn't a show" rings true. So thank you Ben, from the bottom of my heart, for being there, for dedicating yourself, and continually delivering some of the best content on You Tube and on the internet. You and DP podcast are now a staple in my life, and whatever criticisms or challenges you face, I have total faith that it will continue. You've yet to disappoint me, and for that, I am grateful, and excited to become a patron. Also, thank you to all the DP hosts, guests, friends, and enemies for helping Ben make this my personal favorite podcast and one of the best podcasts on You Tube and the internet.

I didn't realize the post show was another full hour, or the fact that you actually interact with your fans so much on different platforms. I think I've grown to respect you even more once I've started to see how much you do for the fans. I'm glad you stuck around, I'm glad you continued the show and I hope it continues at least enough to celebrate its 10 year anniversary :) Great job, Ben! Great job, Billy! Some people seem to want DP to be only what they like most about it. I think that's a good problem to have. Most of us are here because you, Ben, are a god damn gentleman. When it comes to the important stuff, I know of no one else on the internet who is more forthcoming and gracious. You've kept your focus through the bullshit. Don't stop. Love the show. I feel the way Ben and Billy treat the community is a lot less toxic than before (no disrespect against the other guys, still love them too). You guys have busted your asses to keep this show going and I know that it isn't easy especially living in expensive ass Seattle. I appreciate the effort and endless hours of entertainment you guys have provided for me. I cannot thank yall enough for letting me be a guest even though I am not really a REAL YTer time and time again. Hoping to like whoever the new peasant will be.

The tension towardx the end of the first season was obvious to most of us. Im glad everything eventually worked out eventually. As long as you keep making hillarious content i’ll be here

However, I would advise to not forget that one segment (you know very well what I'm talking about) that upgraded DP from being good to legendary.

2019-01-08 20:23:12 +0000 UTC2bh in the start i stoped supporting Dp when season 2 started, and supported someone els. but after short time i noticed the other people dident have the show i wanted, came back to DP Season 2. and as long as i had money i``` Subbed on Patreon. the format is solid, and is somewhat the same i came to love. i will also say that Billy is a strong presence. and the most of the guests are a blast!, Ben your and your format is the Show, i think its better now then before i think, not sure. also kaceytron is a fun guest so i Digby :3. my finace is not great atm but still holding on to my 5 usd until i have to stop. Love the Show Ben, and Billy the Troll :3. Congrats on an Amazing First year of Season 2 of DP! you rock!. (sorry for horrible english) <3
