Hey guys! So, this week I enlisted the help of a new team member who will be helping me with video editing and promotions for the English speaking crowd. He's also got some great connections to other artists, programmers, and voice actresses, so we'll be scoping out potential help in those areas in the near future. In the meantime we will be working on putting together a couple of videos for promoting the game, all of which I'll make sure to post here (there will be gameplay footage!). And yeah, if you didn't catch that hint a couple sentences back, the characters will definitely be getting original vocal effects! This month has largely been spent on artwork, with a lot of time being spent on character artwork for the first set of outfits, experimenting with clothing destruction, and optimizing the code for displaying and positioning the combinations of images in game. All in all it's been a very productive month, but there's still a lot of work left! Here's the full skinny on what I'd like to have finished before the first release! - Finish approximately 20 more character portraits - Remake one animated enemy battle sprite for the new game resolution - Add events and dialog to the test map - Tidy up recordings and mastering for the soundtrack - Create and implement compressor and installer - Code H mechanics and related interface - Design more enemy skills and related artwork - Tidy up menu interface - Add dynamic portraits to the dialog system - Create promotional videos - Finish first artwork PDF reward - Continue hunting down a reliable Japanese translator - Continue finding viable avenues for promoting the game So yeah, we're looking at a very busy next couple of months!
