Callisto 0.3 - Week 15 Update

Firstly a little business upfront. I have adjusted the Patreon Tiers very slightly:

- $1 Tier can download game 3 days after initial release.

- Patreons are charged up front.

The main reasons for doing this is to reduce the probability of the game getting pirated immediately on release by Patreons that either subscribe at $1 level or by signing up and then immediately leaving. The game will be released publicly 1 week after initial release. Current $5 and $10 Patreons should be unaffected by these changes.

Back to the update, I have shifted away from rendering images and am currently focusing on writing, coding and the other little elements required to create the game. Over the past week I have process all of the renders into webp format and encoded all of the videos into webm format. This includes all of the post processing work such as colour / light adjustments as well as removing rendering glitches in Gimp. It's kinda amazing the size compression you get from encoding 4k images series (5 GB) into 1080p webm videos (34MB). I have also been creating the additional imagemaps required for 0.3 (base / hover / idle). Thankfully the number of v0.3 imagemaps are only a fraction of v0.2.

On to writing / coding I have completed about half of the main storyline. I should be able to complete the writing / coding for the backstories / TV and the remaining main storyline next week. The two slightly complicated coding items are the basketball game (should just be if/then statements within a while statement) and the interactive lewd content (similar to Rogue Evolution - will be more difficult). These may effect the beta release date, but I will keep you updated as I go.

To give you a little eye candy for the week, please see image below. I have adjusted Kara's wet hair asset to dForce Long Hair with surface tweaks to achieve the wet affect. Bit of a pain running dForce for each frame, but the result is nice. The Kara character has the highest quality skin of the characters and you will be seeing plenty of it in 0.3. If you are a $5 or $10 Patreon you will also see it in 4k.
