"Alternate Advertising" - First Pass Render Begins

Hey all!

So I meant to make this post before the weekend, but I had my time-table shifted forward a day with very little notice. Needless to say, it's been a hectic 4 days for me.

BUT I am here now, and with even more progress than when I originally intended to make this post!

The Marie short, Alternate Advertising, has just begun its first pass 1080p rendering. Which means, among other things, the animation is wholly done! Woo!

I say first pass because I am going to have to do a few additional render passes.

The first render pass will be with finalized laptop screens (no, Marie isn't actually streaming SHENZHEN I/O, even though that would explain why she had 11 whole viewers - it's a screenshot of my own Twitch channel, than I am editing for the short).

The second render pass is a technical thing, and basically works like a reverse x-ray effect. Basically, where an x-ray effect allows you to see more than what a single pass would reveal, this effect will hide things from a single pass. Trust me, it's something I need to do to make it look good.

MY GOAL IS TO HAVE THE SHORT POSTED ON PATREON BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

Tomorrow will be spent prepping and rendering those later passes, but that shouldn't take the whole day. Which means I should be able to at least get a head-start on the post-processing by the time I go to bed tomorrow.

With any luck, I will have all of the post-processing done by Wednesday, which means I should be able to get it uploaded by Thursday morning. It will be posted here on Patreon as soon as possible, and then publicly on Tumblr 5 days later, as per usual.

Sorry for the lack of updates for the past few days! Hope this makes up for it. :)
