Seven Sins System Chapter 571. You’re Blocking My View.

Seven Sins System Chapter 571. You’re Blocking My View.

Meanwhile, Darren, Ion, and Barry were still suffering through their laps, wheezing like dying animals.

Barry, who had clearly given up on life, tried to crawl instead of run, but one glare from me and he immediately stumbled back onto his feet.

Darren gasped, "Why… are we still here… just to suffer…?"

Ion gasped dramatically, gripping Barry’s shoulder. "We need to… revolt, Barry… we need to stand up to him… before it’s too late."

Barry, still struggling to breathe, whispered, "No. We die here."

Katrina laughed softly, watching them. "You really enjoy tormenting them, don’t you?"

I shrugged. "They deserve it."

Then, finally, Puriel moved, walking and showed right in front of me, arms crossed, expression unreadable.

‘Oh!’

So she was done watching.

Katrina smirked, standing up. "Well, that’s my cue to leave. Have fun with your angel problem."

I sighed as she disappeared, leaving me alone with Puriel and my three dying disciples.

I tilted my head at Puriel, my smirk never fading. "To what do I owe the pleasure, darling?"

She narrowed her eyes at me, gaze flickering to the towel still wrapped around my waist before looking back up. "Why are you half-naked?"

I exhaled dramatically, stretching my arms behind my head like I was lounging on a throne. "Because I look great in it."

Puriel’s expression immediately darkened. "Don’t you have any shame?"

I tilted my head. "No."

She inhaled sharply, like she was physically restraining herself from strangling me. "You—"

I held up a hand. "Can you move away? You’re blocking my view."

She blinked, momentarily thrown off. "Blocking your view?"

I pointed lazily to the three poor souls still struggling through their laps, looking like they had aged a century in the last ten minutes.

Puriel followed my gaze and frowned.

Darren was stumbling, Ion was practically limping, and Barry had his hands on his knees, gasping for air like he had just run an ultra-marathon in hell itself.

Puriel turned back to me. "Why are you making them exercise at a time like this?"

I arched a brow. "Because they pissed me off?"

She crossed her arms. "I thought you just got back from the Shadow Realm. Haven't you had enough to torture the poor souls out there?"

I waved a hand dismissively. "I was, but these three geniuses decided to drag me out of my dorm in a towel, so I had to teach them a lesson."

Puriel let out a long, exasperated sigh. "I don’t even want to ask."

I patted the bench beside me, giving her a lazy smirk. "If you’re so interested, why not take a seat? It’s better than watching me from a distance like a stalker."

Her brows twitched, and for a moment, I thought she was going to smack me with holy light.

But then…

To my surprise…

She actually sat down.

Not close.

Not too far away.

But close enough to watch.

I couldn't help but chuckle, my smirk widening. "Now we both look like a crazy devilish couple. Nice, eh?"

Puriel immediately stiffened, her head snapping toward me so fast I thought she might get whiplash. "What?! No. Absolutely not."

I let out a mock sigh, resting my chin on my hand. "Shame. I thought we had a certain aesthetic going on."

She glared daggers at me, like she was physically restraining herself from smiting me on the spot.

"You are insufferable."

I flashed a lazy grin. "And yet, here you are, sitting beside me. Almost like you enjoy my company."

Puriel scoffed, crossing her arms tightly. "Don’t flatter yourself. I’m just making sure you don’t terrorize more students."

I gestured toward the three gasping idiots still struggling through their laps. "You think this is terrorizing? I call it education."

Barry tripped mid-run, barely catching himself. "E-Education my ass!"

Ion, clutching his ribs, gasped out, "I'm gonna die, Darren. Tell my girlfriend I love her."

Darren, looking like he was one lap away from meeting the Grim Reaper, just shook his head weakly. "This isn't how I wanted to go."

Puriel gave me a pointed look. "This is torture."

I grinned. "And yet, I let them live."

Puriel looked like she was having an internal debate on whether or not to push me off the bench. "Why am I even here?"

I shrugged, leaning back. "Because deep down, you find me fascinating."

She exhaled sharply. "Fascinating? More like frustrating."

I let out a mock gasp. "You wound me, angel. You really do."

Puriel just rolled her eyes, but she didn't move from her spot.

I stretched my arms, letting out a lazy sigh. "Well, since you're here, might as well make yourself comfortable. You want some popcorn? Maybe a drink? You’re already invested in the show."

Puriel pinched the bridge of her nose. "I hate this."

I didn’t immediately answer. Instead, I just stared at her.

Right into her eyes.

Holding her gaze for a little too long.

Long enough to make her uneasy.

Her posture stiffened, her fingers twitching slightly as if she was fighting the urge to look away.

I let my smirk widen. "Liar."

Her brows furrowed, her lips pressing into a thin line. "I’m not."

I leaned in slightly, my voice smooth and confident. "Devils can detect lies, Puriel. You…" I tapped my temple. "You are lying."

Her shoulders tensed, but she held her ground.

"I am not lying," she insisted, her voice steady—but her eyes betrayed her.

I chuckled, shaking my head. "Tsk, tsk. You really think you can fool me?"

She crossed her arms tightly, avoiding my gaze now. "I don't have time for this nonsense."

I raised an eyebrow. "And yet, you’re still here."

Her jaw clenched, but she didn’t move.

I let out a mock sigh, stretching my legs out. "Face it, angel. You like being around me. You don’t want to admit it, but deep down, you find me… entertaining."

Puriel scoffed. "You’re delusional."

I grinned. "Am I?"

She turned away, clearly done with this conversation, but I wasn’t about to let her off the hook just yet.

I tilted my head, studying her. "You love me more than you think."

Puriel exhaled sharply, still refusing to look at me. "I tolerate you."

I laughed. "See? Progress!"

She glared. "It’s not progress."

I leaned closer, lowering my voice. "It is when you're lying to yourself."

She visibly tensed, and I knew I had hit a nerve.
