Thank you for reading! I know last time, there were a lot of you that thought that this episode would reveal a lot of secrets. The truth is... it was never meant to. But I hope that you still got something interesting out of it. White certainly speaks AROUND many topics without being straightforward, but she still shows her hand.

2025-02-25 20:26:32 +0000 UTCI don’t expect much clarity from White, and honestly you didn’t have to give us all the answers. It’s not within her character, as giving the person you want to control too much information might give them leverage over you. She also refuses to consider anyone’s POV but her own, hence why she has this “natural order of things” justification for colonization. I like how “Pink’s consequences” could be interpreted both ways in terms of either Rose Quartz shattering Pink or Pink staging her own shattering. I’m not sure what canon you’re going off of, but if White knew Pink was alive but let everyone grieve over her as punishment for falling for her game, the corruption blast and cluster would be punishment enough.

2025-02-22 01:30:41 +0000 UTCAs much as I wanted some answers, I kinda like how White focused on giving a monolog that was primarily about herself and how important she is. It's fitting for someone so narcissistic, and it shows how she views Steven and a bit about how she views the other diamonds. As far as we know, she thinks Pink is shattered, but casually called it a consequence of Pink's actions. There was no empathy or care that her youngest diamond was destroyed. She sees all of them as tools, just some are more valuable than others. She reminds me of Father/The first humunculous in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

So why not try mixing a Diamond's perfection with Pink's beloved organics, see if it can be better? She's regretting it now, but still wants to use Steven - Steven in his own right it seems, not just *reset to factory settings* WD.

2025-02-21 01:52:48 +0000 UTCI don’t really favor this interpretation of gem origins myself as it just doesn’t work with how we know gems to be created. Gems are created to serve a purpose not born. White was created to be supreme leader the most powerful gem, Yellow was designed to direct gem forces on a massive scale, and Blue was meant to keep to keep them in line. Pink is the sole exception, seemingly without purpose. However we know that at minimum Pink matches White’s power (i consider future bare canonical garbage), has the charisma to bring together large groups, has a power that like White can control gems absolutely, and still considers organic life lesser. Yet she is utterly incompetent, cowardly, and unable to follow through only barely capable of maintaining a war despite literally commanding both sides. Pink has enough qualities that I would hazard a guess that she’s a failed prototype of White.

She’s trying to mold Steven into yet another version of Herself, not help him. 🤧 And this is where I finally realize how you’ve turned her into another lovely metaphor for toxic parenthood! Kudos to an incredible story thus far and always gorgeous artwork.

2025-02-20 12:38:25 +0000 UTCI knew we wouldnt get any real answers from White but I’m not disappointed. She’s doing a great job confusing Steven with her choices just as much as she’s confusing us. My favorite part was the panels about all the gems being her. Its such a treat when you add color. The stained glass diamonds fitting together perfectly is awesome as well as the almost Keith Haring cluster of gems beneath them. I’m sure the process of creating the pattern was really fun.
