rpg'97 first demo

my hardcore band released our first demo. we recorded this in october. this is half of the songs we had written for our first show, the second half of the songs will be released maybe in january. we hope to record them all (plus a few more) in the studio and release a full album (witch better sound lol) although you all know I love lo fi. in this band I play guitar and sing on some songs.

the first song was written by my other guitarist theo. I didn't play any guitar on it because I wanted to have a song where for the live show I didn't have to do anything but sing. so I wrote the lyrics (all the lyrics are on the bandcamp). it's about this image I saw one day that captivated me (I don't think I have it, and even if I do I wont share it hehe)

the second song was written by theo, but he also wanted a song where he didn't have to perform guitars for the live show. so he showed me how to play it and I adapted it a little bit. I couldn't tell you what the lyrics are about because they're his but I think it's about a video game

the third song was cowritten by me and theo. I wrote the first riff, he wrote the first breakdown riff, I wrote the emo riffs until the very last riff which was him. I think you can tell by our voices who is singing what, and we each sing our own lyrics. my side of the lyrics is about my distaste for things that basically don't let vibrate and be free. I don't know what he's talking about

the fourth song was written by theo, by my inclusion with my guitar is my own composition building off of what he wrote. of course you can't hear anything that's going on beause of the sound quarliy lmao. they are his lyrics too

the last song was written by me (this applies to every song but even if I or theo have a whole song come up with we don't tell other members what to play, everyone omes up with their own part, albeit building off of the song that's already written
