Entering into the new year, PROBABLY a bit earlier than most of you. It's 9:50 PM here, so I just barely got it done. ;)
I'm excited to be continuing this comic and (to quote our favorite most depressed forcibly-kin-assigned-Pink-Diamond) "I can't believe we've come so far"! I definitely couldn't have done it without your generous support!
Here's to another great year! Hopefully it'll be even better than the last!
By the way, I was thinking about the story behind this illustration and it's this: Steven, who has never gone to a 'proper' New Year's Party (or what he thinks is a proper one, which might be a bit too influenced by the regal stuff hosted in Empire City he's seen on TV) so he decides to throw one in the barn! Connie and, of course, all the gems are invited to drink sparkling grape juice and eat tiny little appetizers Steven and Earl made! (Greg is also there, don't worry. He just didn't fit in the frame.)
