Question about upcoming video
Added 2022-07-14 19:36:01 +0000 UTCAs you know, I'm working on a script about the German revolution (1918-19), and it's a big project that I feel very passionate about, and one that I think will make for a really interesting video, but there's something I'm wondering: should I make it into one long video or split it into a video series?
If I split it into several videos, I'll be able to include more details in each part, and you'd have to wait less for new content to come out, but my main concern is: would people be less likely to watch a video series to the end than they would a single long video? I feel strongly about this topic and I would want as many people as possible to watch through my narrative from start to finish, and if one long video makes that more likely, that's what I'd like to go for.
What do you think?

Good point! I actually feel the same way sometimes
Cuck Philosophy
2022-07-17 17:07:52 +0000 UTCIf I may add my personal point of view: I always have trouble getting motivated to watch a long video (like more than 1h30mn) on youtube. However, I sometimes catch myself watching an entire series, even though I just watched the first video just out of curiosity and without expecting to watch even the second one. So in my way of using youtube, long video vs video series can be rephrased as "watching only the first few videos of the series vs not watching the long video at all".
