My dear knights, it’s been quite a bit. I first want to say thank you so much for your support of the new mercantile and your patronage over the past few months (for some of you even longer!), it has helped me immensely in supporting this creative quest.

Recently, during a bout of creative reflection, I realized my computer can finally handle something I’ve always wanted to try: EBSynth. EBSynth is this AI animation software that I first heard about through Joel Haver’s animated shorts and his how-to video on the software. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try being an avid fan of film and animation. So while the posting was quiet, I learned a bit and gave it a go for this next short. Dink (see above) makes his first appearance and I was able to film him in a red cap instead of the traditional green as I could recolor it in post (though after using the software I see it would've only been an issue with live-action). Once the short is posted I’ll share a couple of BTS shots of the reference stills and the drawings so you all can see the transformation! The process is long but I really liked how it turned out, I think it opens up and enables a lot of new possibilities. Feels good to try something new and I hope you like it!
